Beat Niederberger was apprenticed to the harness maker and world-class pair driver Arthur Zaugg
from 1980 until 1983. In 1988 at the age of 24 he passed the Master Saddlers exam and became the youngest saddler in Switzerland to do so.
The company was founded
in 1991, with Susan Niederberger responsible for customer services
and research. The company has three main areas of expertise: the production of bespoke saddles,
the textile and leather work for carriages, and vintage cars.
